I have vRA 8.11.1 and CloudTemplates which deploy Windows VMs from vsphere VM templates. I am not using custom specs, I would like to use in my case Ansible to do Windows OS customization. Everything works fine except the following:
- my windows VM template has local administrator account renamed and password is set
- vRA deploys another VM from that clone and VM boots up, but: my local account has been renamed to Administrator and there is no password set
Does anyone know if it is possible to use some configuration settings in CloudTemplate to make cloning work the way I need it? To keep local account as it is in the template are and keep pass which is setup there? As mentioned, I am not using vCenter custom specs and would like not to use it.
If I clone a VM directly in vCenter, all OS settings are preserved. only cloning from vRA is changing OS settings - local admin account and OS renamed.
