I am running the PreCheck to upgrade from vRA 7.4 to vRA 7.5 from vRSLCM. It fails on only one item: IISServer: IIS Server Not Responding on the IaaS Windows server.
I love the Error Recommendation: "The IIS Server is installed and running, but does not respond. See if prerequisite checker has other errors." But, as I said, there are no other errors, just this one.
I have rechecked all of the pre-reqs in the installation manual https://docs.vmware.com/en/vRealize-Automation/7.5/com.vmware.vra.install.upgrade.doc/GUID-624C4494-.... I have also verified and followed the instructions in KB 2138781 and KB 59658 (which are virtually identical). Still no love.
Any help would be appreciated. I would like to know just what this check is checking?
Windows 2012 R2 or 2016?
What happens if you bypass the pre-check in LCM for vRA upgrade ?
NOTE: Make sure you have a good back up of all appliance and components

Hi,
did you ever find out what the issue was?
I got the same - 2016.
Regards, K
- one thing you can try is doing iisreset just before running the upgrade
- another is to bypass all pre-req checks on the vRA VA side by doing
touch /tmp/skip-prereq-checks
on the vRA VA console, and then running LCM again
