communication between vRA and SCVMM

Can vRA 7 communicate with Hyper-V directly by vRA built-in function? (Mostly vRA 7 communicates with Hyper-V through SCVMM, I think.)

When vRA 7 creates VMs on Hyper-V, does vRA 7 use something like API of SCVMM or any other way?

yes, vRA 7 does have built-in functionality to talk to Hyper-V host as an end point using Hyper-v proxy agent, or SVCMM using DEM Worker.

Yes, using APIs.

Hi npadmani,

Thank you for your reply.

With vRA log(etc. DEM log), can we know which API of SCVMM is used?

If yes, I can know whether the vRA uses the API correctly. And the next action is to see the SCVMM logs.
