Vra 7.3 Appliance unreachable

Since this morning i cannot reach the console of my vcac. When i ping the address from the iaas server i get destination host unreachable.

From the appliance command prompt the same respons to the IaaS server and the domaincontroller.

My root account was locked and i changed the password this morning. After that this strange problem occurred.

That wouldn't be due to the root account locking, that's a networking issue.

Yes i guess it is. But where to start. I changed nothing on my network. The iaas server gives timeout's when trying to connect to the appliance.

Is there a way to debug the complete boot from the appliance?

Are they on the same L2 segment? If so, can you ping from the vRA appliance to other nodes on the same L2? If not on the same L2, can you ping its gateway? Start with the basic networking troubleshooting steps. You haven't mentioned your topology so without that there's not much I can say.

It was indeed a host problem. Migrated the appliance to another host and it worked again. Strange because nothing was changed.

I'll take a closer look at the host.

Thanks for the assistance
