VM Reclamation in vRA

I am using vRA 7 in my environment. In Reclamation > Tenant Machine, i can search expired but if i am trying to reclaim those expired machine i am getting an error message "Selection Error: Virtual machine name is not in valid state for reclamation." My question is why this attribute is available in advanced search panel if these expired cannot be reclaimed?

Reclamation request is not for the expired VM. It is for underutilized active VM's. Please check out this vRealize Automation 7.0

Yes, this is what i mentioned already in the discussion. But question is why for searching these vm's search criteria is available.
