Simple way to access vCAC default/tenant from the internet

Hello all,

Thanks in advance for your support.

I have seen some discussion threads on this but the solutions either seem disjointed or slightly different from what I am trying to accomplish

I am not very familiar with Apache web servers

lab environment

Flat network - 1 vlan

1 AD domain controller - DNS validated

1 * vCenter (non distributed) and 4 *vSphere 6 hosts

1 Identity Appliance (SSO) -1 nic

1 vCAC Virtual Appliance - 1 nic

1 Iaas Web server (Windows 2012 r2) 1 nic

1 tenant created.

I am able access the default and created tenants internally via https://vra-FQDN/vcac and https://vra-FQDN/vcac/org/tenant-name

Issue

Want to access the default and created tenant from the internet

- So far I have registered a domain @ godaddy and created a A record pointing to my router external IP

- I created port forwarding rules (443) to my internal vCAC appliance

From the internet when I enter the url (A record) the default vCAC appliance page comes up (see attached)

When I highlight vRealize automation console link I see the expected url https://external-url/vcac but when I click it, it redirects to https://internal-fqdn/vcac

I believe

I read somewhere that the VRA and ID appliances need to be accessible from the internet but also read I need to do some rewriting/redirectin in the Apache web server

Your assistance would be greatly appreciated
