Freshly installed and already running into issues

Screen Shot 2015-03-27 at 23.50.45.pngHi

Just finished installing vRealize Automation Appliance 6.2.1.0 and get the login page presented. After login the overview page opens with an empty list of tenants. I then try to configure the first tenant, but I'm not sure what to enter in the URL box. Is this just the part of the url that comes after the standard URL or should it be the full URL?

Either way, I always get an error whatever I do, see screenshot. Any solutions to this?

Installation is not an upgrade but a clean install of Identity appliance, vRealize Automation Appliance, vCenter 6 (YES!!!) appliance, Windows 2012 for IIS and DEM.

Thanks

Gabrie

Been playing with this all morning and then decided to just reinstall the vCAC appliance. When walking through the OVA deployment I then remembered I had some troubles in the previous deployment with the hostname. I just finished my new installation and now everything seems to working fine. After reinstalling the vCAC (no no Gabe, it is vRealize Automation!!!) appliance, I also removed everything from the Windows Server and reinstalled all components (IaaS, DEM, Database, IIS).

I now get the first page showing the vSphere.local tenant and a wizard on the left side. All seems fine now.

Thank you for your help. My first steps into vRA 🙂

Hey Gabrie,

So hey when you install you have the default tenent created automatically  vsphere.local so unless you are looking to run a multi-tenet environment you can skip this step

Hi Steve,

Yeah I read about the vsphere.local tenant, but I can't find it anywhere. The list of tenants is empty.

I would like to use it as multi-tenant but whatever I enter in this first step, I get the error as seen in the screenshot.

Every other section I try to click, like Branding, I get an endless spinning wheel or errors like this:

"

Internal Error

An internal error has occurred. If the problem persists, please contact your system administrator.

Since you said this was a fresh install, I am going to assume you have just installed the identity and the automation appliances so far correct?  If that is so would you please logon to the automation appliance via port 5480 and tell me the status of all the services please?  The default tenet is there by default that you have should have accessed when you logged on as administrator@vsphere.local
