Dropdown results from action

   I'm using XAAS and have a dropdown on my form that uses a custom action to populate the dropdown.  In this case my results are 1000 or so entries.  I noticed that users can't type in the field to take them to entries that start with a letter for example.  Is there any other element or configuration I can use so that the users could type in the first few letters of what they're looking for and the dropdown takes them to those values or limits what's displayed?

that's exactly what I tried to explore few weeks back.

unfortunate it is that from XaaS form based Dropdown control doesn't do it.

if you have Custom Property defined with the help of Property definition having dropdown control, that's where it works exactly like what you are expecting.

I am outdated here as I am still using vRA/vRO 7.3.0 and haven;t got a chance to explore any higher versions. Not too sure if situation has changed there. what version do you use?

Just to confirm, are you saying it doesn't work on the XAAS side, but it does work if you use the regular form with a custom property dropdown?
