I tried to upgrade our vRA from 6.2.1 to 6.2.2, but the dbupgrade.exe script fails to upgrade database version.
It reports "successfully finished", but when I try to upgrade IAAS compnents, the IAAS installer reports old version.
If I run dbupgrade again, it still reports 6.2.1.3390 version.
I tried following:
dbupgrade.exe -S localhost -d vCAC -E
dbupgrade.exe -S localhost -d vcac -E
dbupgrade.exe -S localhost -d VCAC -E
There is always "success" result, but version stays 6.2.1.
I could not find information about case sensitivity, but it seems somehow related as dbo.vrm_id table in DB is populated with many lines containing vCAC/VCAC/vcac strings
Anyone seen such issue?
There is only one topic in google where DB had to be updated manually - http://blog.sovsystems.com/472/
This was problem between chair and keyboard. I probably used older DBUpgrade.zip package. Second attempt to upgrade went smoothly.
I haven't had this specific issue but I am struggling with the 6.2.2 upgrade.
Have you specified -l and a log file to see the output?
Also what permissions does the windows user have on the database?
Cheers
