Windows Defender

Evening

I am having some trouble with app volumes breaking Windows Defender, when I log into a virtual desktop without any app volumes attached my realtime protection works fine, once I log in with app volumes attached it stops functioning. Defender is showing as active and reports a healthy state in the interface but doesn't actually provide the protection it does when app volumes aren't attached.

All app volumes have been packaged with version 4 on the same packaging machine, both machines have the standard snapvol.cfg policy file that contains all of the exclusions around policies and defender etc so I am at a bit of a loss with this one, any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks

Neil

Hi Colc_NeilW,

Just wondering did you ever get this issue resolved? we are having a very similar issue.

Cheers

Hi,

Same issue with AppVolume 2206 and Microsoft Defender (Without ATP console). Protection definition update failure, only when app volumes attached.I will open an incident to the support.
