Vmware App Volumes removing the manually installed Apps on Restart

Hi,

We are using App volume to deploy some of the applicatons to our VDI environment but whenever users install any program manually it gets uninstall on restart.

Is there any setting that we need to turn on/off.

Any help will be much appreciated.

This is the expected behavior. If you want the users to retain their installed applications on restart, please use writable volumes (UIA), which is a one to one mapping for every user and it gets attached automatically when the user logs in.

Thanks Lakshman, i have just checked and for some reason we do not have any writable volumes. I will create and test one.
