User created files when disconnected from internet.

Hello, the business I'm apart of is currently looking into implementing App Volumes and we currently have the whole system running but one of our programs on startup goes to a server and copies a file over to it's hard drive, we have noticed that when a computer disconnects from the internet the files also are deleted off the hard drive along with the file that needs to stay.  One of two things will fix our issue and we aren't sure how to enable either of them, first fix that would solve this is having caching the application on the computer and if the computer were to disconnect from the internet the files and program would remain, the other fix would be having only the file(s) remain after the computer is disconnected from the internet.  Thank you!

Depends on where the file is created and when it is being removed.

If it is created in the user directory I would suggest using UEM and just create a personalisation for it. Otherwise you would need writable volumes to track these changes.

Thing is when the file is being removed when server is not reachable it is hard to track.

The file is being created in the same directory as the program, a UEM might be something to look into for some other questions we might have but we also need the program to be kept on the computer when disconnected from the internet which we would love to know if that were possible.

If you don't want to go with a full clone your only bet is gonna be the writable UIA only. This captures everything that is changed on your operating system besides info in the C:\Users directory.
