The group policy client service failed the sign-in

Hello,

We seem to be getting frequent logon errors with appvolumes (appstacks and writable (might be something else). Sometimes we can login without any issues and others we get this error message and user is thrown out. We are currently testing with Windows LTSC 1809 with instant clones. Anyone else experiencing similar issues?

When testing we have 5 appstacks with different programs and a writable attached.

I've seen this sporadically in my environment. You need to generate a log bundle from the AppVolumes manager. If you look in the production**.log file you can follow the attachment process and it should tell you if one of your volumes is causing an issue.

This is happening to a single user in my environment, it's really weird. I'm in the process now of opening a support case.

There seemed to be an issue with the writable and some of the exclusions we added to it. We are now running "stock" writable with no changes to the snapvol.cfg and its been stable for the past week with no issues.
