Single vCenter - 2 vSAN Clusters

Hi All, I am wondering if someone has come across this.

We have a Single vCenter that's managing a pair of vSAN Ready clusters, we also have a single AppVolumes Manger instance. We kept the vSAN's apart as they are different versions of hardware. We have pools and the AppStacks on Cluster 1. We brought Cluster 2 online and spun up a new pool, the VM's complained that they don't access to the vSAN on Cluster 1, what is expected.

So my thoughts are

1, Shared Storage like NFS across all hosts

2, Spin up another AppVolumes Instance and replicate AppStacks to Cluster 2 vSAN. (Not wanting to do this as then we have 2 images to maintain.)

3, ????

Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi.
I have not tried it but may be storage groups can be helpful. Sounds like it would replicate the appvolumes and writable volumes between storages.
https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-App-Volumes/2012/app-volumes-admin-guide/GUID-174CA732-BFC6-4930-B... There is also another technology in vpshere 7.0 U1 thats called hci mesh. that would allow your vsan clusters to share storage with eachother.

As i have said i have not tried theese solutions but they could maybe be an input for you ro research further.
