SPSS starts very slowly with Appvolumes 2.11 in conjunction with Apssense user personalization

Hi,

We are implementing Appstacks based om Appvolumes 2.11 in a VDI environment. At this point in time we only use Appstacks and no writable volumes. SPSS is captured in an appstack and it takes a very long time to start (80 seconds).

We use Appsense as uem solution and SPSS settings are stored in the Appsense database with the Appsense personalization component. When Appsense personalization is disabled SPSS only takes 20 minutes to start. Apparently the two filter drivers are hindering each other.

Do any of you know a solution for this in Appvolumes?

Kind Regards,

Ard Gerrits

For troubleshooting I would try mounting the AppStack to the machine (not user) and see if the logon times stay low, as expected.

Also what Windows version are you running?

Is there only one AppStack (SPSS) being mounted during this testing?

Have not used Appsense for awhile, would you be able to have Appsense be able to refresh the users shortcuts after logon? The reason I'm asking is, there is some parameters that can be changed to have your AppStack mount in the background after user logon, of course AV has this built-in for UEM.
