We've appstacked Oracle 11g without issues. The thing I found is that the Appstack does not capture the environment variables required for for the client. I had to push down the TNS_ADMIN variable with the proper value (for your environment). Depending on your use you may need to push down the ORACLE_HOME, CLASSPATH and update your System Path to include the client install location.
