Operation can not continue MDAC not installed

Running into an issue installing AppVolumes Manager 2.5 on a Server 2008 R2 VM with a remote SQL server 2012. Whenever I get to the screen to fill in the SQL server information it just gives me an error about MDAC not being installed. I tried searching, but where this product is so new I didn't see anything. Most of the other info out there suggests that I download MDAC 2.8 from Microsoft and install, but that didn't work either.

I was able to resolve this issue by deploying a new Server 2012 VM. After I did that I still got the same error, however after installing the SQL native client this issue went away. I did try the SQL native client on the 2008 server as well, but it didn't work.
