Migration from Persistent Disks to AppVol Writable Volumes?

We are getting ready to migrate some of our users that were originally set up with persistent VMs and Persistent Disks, to non-persistent VMs with AppVol Writable Volumes.  Is there a seamless way to migrate the user data?  It could be done offline.  We are not currently using UEM or roaming profiles, it's just more working pieces that we do not necessarily need.  I know the actual data is stored in VMDKs with both Persistent Disks and Writable Volumes, so I was wondering if there's a supported way to migrate the data inside the VMDKs, other than trying to move the data inside the OS itself.  I have tried doing some research and did not see anything on this subject so far.

Thank you in advance.

Thank you for the reply.  I had not seen that thread in my search so I appreciate the information that there is currently no direct way to do this.  We will do the data copy in the OS itself.
