Apps not getting Assigned with new setup

I just got App Vol 2.11 installed and trying to test drive it and not going too well.  I can provision and assign Apps and create writable disks but they never show up for the user.  The volume never appears and neither do the apps.  I know it's something simple but damned if i can find out why.  Any help is appreciated.  Not getting much from the admin guide.  Thanks

Thank you, Perry

So the AppStack is not attached to the VM where the user logged on.

1. Are you able to see the VM in App Volumes Manager under 'Directory' -> 'Computers'?

2. Restart the App Volumes Agent service on the VM

3. Logoff and login back

In the App Volumes Manager UI, select the AppStack and check the status of 'Attachments'. Does it show that the AppStack is attached when the user logs in?

Attachments show 0 Assignments shows 1.   Under the attachment tab there are no volume attachments found. When logged in the app doesn't show up on the desktop

i do see the computer there and after a service restart i still see no app.  Restarted teh service with no luck.  Is it an issue to have it assigned to a computer and a user at the same time?

To troubleshoot further, could you try removing the AppStack assignment from the user and assign it to the Computer (immediate attachment)?

Also, make sure to disable or delete the writable volumes for the user

Ok. Please check the 'Activity' -> 'System messages' in App Volumes Manager to see if there are any error messages.

Yes it is, you can't do that. Either assign to a user or a machine. If you assign to both it wont attach (has been an earlier post about it, cant find it right now so credits go there Smiley Happy)

EDIT!!

Found the article, credits to Mike A Smiley Happy

appstack mounts to system, but application not available

Thanks for the reply.  I currently have 9 assignments and all of them are pool computers (VM's) and no users.  Still when i login to the destop pool i get no app assigned.  This is what shows up under computers (attachment).  Comupter shows up but still nothing under attachments.

What does your agent log show on a desktop? Could you upload / copy & paste details of a problem desktop?

Logs are located on "c:\program files(x86)\cloudvolumes\Agent\log"

Are you able to create app stacks with 2.11, or are the stacks you're attempting to assign from a previous (working) deployment?
