Application startup performance

When testing appstacks, we notice that appvol applications, even small ones, are starting up significantly slower compared to those installed in the image.

For example, a local application that takes 5 secs to launch, takes about 15 secs in appvolumes.

Are there any tweaks to improve this performance? Or will version 2.6 fix these issues?

This is being improved upon but by the nature of what App Volumes is doing there can be some additional overhead in launching applications. However once launched performance should be on par with native installations.

How did it perform in the Capture VM? I would start there test against the capture VM then test against a user VM and see what differences there is. If it is as significant as you indicate i'd start by looking at what is different between the 2 VMs to ensure there is no compatability problems  slowing the launch down, if these are all comparable then the next step would be infrastructure and looking at the storage in particular.
