AppStack attached to RDSH server

I could not able to install application while AppStacks is attched to the RDS server. Is that buggs or by design ? but if I unassigned the appstack than install application on RDS server it will install. Any idea

A special installation mode setting is required for installing applications during provisioning AppStack on RDSH. Please follow this KB.

Thank You Lakshman,

I have spoke to Vmware and they said the best practice is to detach AppStacks when patching with computers based assignments as the patches will be lost during restart. http://kb.vmware.com/kb/2129528

We expect SVROOT by default to clear.  You can get around this by using the registry key CleanSystemWritables. Though we do not recommend you patch using this as we still write to SVROOT.
