App stack performance issue.

Hi,

I am using one app stack called appstack-1.0 (size: 8GB) which is taking 5 min. to log-in,

Later, I updated the appstack-1.0 to appstack-2.0 by adding new app's in it (size: 12 GB), now it took only 3 min. to log-in, I don't have any answer to the client, why it is behaving like it?

Thank you,

Vkmr.

Normally if logging on with 1 appstack takes to much time my guess is that there is some sort of corruption in your appstack.

Try to check the svservice.log files and see if there holes in your logging regarding time.

We see that from logon (you see that in the svservice.log) until the definitive refresh with 5 appstacks and 1 writable volume takes up to 40 seconds. This does not mean however that logon is only these 40 seconds, there are more things that could cause the slow logon but this is a good starting point.

Hi Ray,

finally, I found the corrupted app stack, the app stack that I am using was corrupted due to some reasons as you said, I re-created that app stack and now my log-in performance is good.

Thank you,

Vkmr.
