App Vol Executables not showing up

Newb to App Vol and having issues out of the gate.  App Vol is installed and now testing.  I can get teh volumes to assign and mount, i can see the extra HD's added to the VM, and i can also see the program group associated with that app.  What i cannot see is any executable associated wtih that APP.  When i open the program group it says (empty).  It is happening for all apps that i assign.  Any ideas what is going on?  Any help is appreciated.  thanks

Perry

Upgrade to version 2.13.1. 2.11 has some bugs regarding W10.

Also, you could try using an appstack on both W7 and W10 but I would suggest creating one for each OS. When packaging the appstack Appvolumes adds the OS you did the packaging with to the allowed OS's you can use the appstack on. Go to the manager, click on edit and add the other OS'ses you want to use.

What applications are you trying to install in the appstacks? Any apps installed in appdata will not be capture during the capturing process.

Some regular apps like Chrome and some apps that are Medical related.  I can see the volumes attached to the VM and in the program group i can see the folder created but under teh folder it just says empty.  No desktop shortcuts either.  ODD!

One thing about appstacks, all information stored in the %APPDATA% folder and in the HKCU registry hyve is not recorded by the appstack. If you install an application you need to use the ALLUSERS=1 command so it will create the files in the program files directory and the shortcut in the Allusersprofile instead of %appdata% of the sequencing user. Same with the desktop icon.

If you do see the files stored in the program files, can you start up the application using the executable there?

And regarding Chrome, download the Chrome business edition, not the consumer edition. This will install into the Program files (x86) by default instead of the users profile

Running AppVol 2.11 and i can only guess at this point that it's not compatible with Win10.  When i tried to create the app on a Win7 desktop it worked just fine.  The problem i have now is that i need these apps for both desktops.  Any thoughts??
