After the first App Volumes Agent/Manager/Broker update, a few thoughts...

The update process, while easy enough to perform, is a bit disappointing to me.  Why do these apps not update in place?  Why require a complete uninstall/reinstall?  That process results in losing the additional Manager registry key settings for the Agent and the session timeout changes created in the Manager.  Does anyone really want to change those with every update that is released?  Any chance this gets improved in future releases?

You could use Group Policy to deploy the manager registry key settings.

However I do agree that it would be considerably more convenient to do an in place upgrade over removing and installing the newer version.

This is heard loud and clear and adding in the reg changes help fight the battle. Right now focus is on features like scalability, app hardening etc. Installation is low priority but will be addressed.
