Adobe Pro Error 213:19

Hi All,

Having issues with Adobe pro in App volumes.

App Volumes 2.13.2

Windows 10 1607

UEM 9.3

We have an existing Adobe Professional XI package that works fine for physical workstations Windows 7, Windows 10.

But from some reason every time i capture it with App Volumes and i deploy for test, the applications runs for about a min if that and will close with an error box Configuration Error.

Has anyone seen this and figured it out.

Also Adobe has the following fix done that still get the error only happens on App Volumes

Resolve the licensing issue and error 213:xx for Acrobat X and Acrobat XI

Ok fixed this issue due to adobe CS6 having the same error.

fix is package the application like normal and add the license fix from adobe in the start menu.

running this fixes the error and users can run adobe like normal.

now I need UEM to play and automatically run the license fix when user logs on.

We haven't seen this issue and we are using Adobe Pro 11. What we do see (or better saw) happening is that we could not start the application because it started to reconfigure itself. This was because of an active shortcut, these do not work with Appvolumes.

What license model do you have? Do you need to activate the license? It could be that activation fails if you use linked clone pools because the name of the machine changes every time you login. You can also use the Adobe package design tool to create an MSI with the key baked into it.

Hi Ray,

The MSI im using already has the key baked in.

On normal Thick clients works fine with this same install package.

Only VDI has this issue any other ideas ?

The only thing that I can think of (other than the shortcut, did you try that?) is that your packaging machine is not the same as your golden image and thus has an issue with plugins or some kind of DLL is it missing.

Your packaging machine should be a clone from the golden image with all View agents uninstalled.

The package machine is the same version as the gold.

i have the application working but I’m not happy with it as it always prompts the user that they have 30 days to license but the count never drops.

i might repackage this in the near future and let you know how I go.
