The workaround is provided in the link above and copied below. This is to raise additional awareness. This SVDriver parameter should at least be documented as a configurable item and included in the product documentation.

I had the same issue and workaround was, to remove one entry in registry in Parent machine:
1) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\svdriver\Parameters
2) There is Multi-String value there called "HookInjectionWhitelist"
3) Remove *chrome.exe||* from list
Shutdown Parent Machine, create snapshot, recompose/push new image.
Thank you very much for posting this. I have just installed 2.13.3 and ran into this issue.
I would think after the second update VMware would have fixed it by now.
I cannot believe there is still no official public-facing documentation for this. No KB article. Nothing.
