what is the state of the VXLAN pool in vCloud Director? When you create the provider, it'll naturally create the VXLAN pool. If it's in any sort of error state, this won't work.

If it's in a green state, then make sure the Org vDC in vCloud is pointing to the correct Network Pool (properties of the Org vDC).

I'd personally start by trying to find the error state in the vcloud-container-debug.log file. if it's okay, reproduce error and post the log file to the forums and I can try to take a look at it as well.

I've been trying to get VXLANs working with vcloud director but have got an issue I can't work out so would really appreciate some help.

I've been through the VXLAN config within Vshield manager and I believe it's ok as I can manually create a network pool, create a network, create a virtual wire, and attach VMs to it. So everything seems good. My problem is that when I create a provider VDC within Vcloud director the creation of the associated network pool always fails. I don't have the exact error message to hand but it's something along the lines of "Vcloud director recieved an unexpected or unknown response from Vshield manager, please refer to the Vshiled manager logs for more information". I've looked in the Vshield manager logs and can't really find anything useful, but it's a bit of a nightmare so I may just be looking in the wrong place.

Anyone got any ideas?

TIA
