topic VCP-DCV 2020 in VCP: VMware Certified Professional Discussions

Hi,

I have a question about the VCP-DCV 2020 certification.

I am currently VCP6.5-DCV.

I would like to take the VCP-DCV 2020 certification.

To take the certification I saw that I can take one of these 3 exams:

2V0-21.19

2V0-21.19D

2V0-21.20

My question is the following:

Since the certification is called VCP-DCV 2020 to obtain it without having to follow a course, do I have to take the exam by 2020?

Since this year I will not be able to take the exam due to lack of time, can I obtain the certification in 2021 without having to attend any course by giving the 2V0-21.20 exam?

Come January when the VCP switches to VCP-DCV 2021, you will be "2 versions back" so the option will remain for you to pass an exam to "upgrade" - the 2V0-21.20 exam would be ideal when you're ready.
