VMWare Worksation 16.2.5 Pro for Windows won't install ... Another installation is in progress

VMWare Worksation 16.2.5 Pro for Windows won't install (on Windows 10) because of the error:

Another installation is in progress. You must complete that installation before continuing this one.

How can I resolve this?

NOTE: I have Docker for Windows, Windows for Linux (wsl) installed as well so I don't want to disable Hyper-V.

I tried selecting the option

[v] Install Windows Hypervisor Platform (WHP) automatically

But still get the error I stated above. I've also included a screenshot of itl

I also shutdown and restarted the host and tried a 2nd time.

I looked for processes that looked like installs but didn't see anything that was clearly installing.

I've used VMWare Workstation for years and typically disable Hyper-V but on this system disabling it would break some other things that I want to use.

I'm mainly using Workstation with vSphere to launch the console. I'm currently using the web console as a work around.

You did not rename the installation .exe file, did you?
