Oh, no. I've got an error here.
My vm version is 17.0.2 build-21581411
The tech preview number you provided is 22060606, but the install says it doesn't support downgrade installs, but it's clearly an upgrade, and I'd like to know the path to the logs so I can upload them for you to analyze

Although the second picture windows shows dx version 12, but the first picture in the penultimate line of the "function level" after the display does not have 12. I want to run the program also reported that the dx12 environment is not supported, I would like to ask about when it will be able to support or is it a problem with the settings where I am, thank you!

Possibly in the next release, there is an active Tech Preview at the moment which you might want to have a look at: https://communities.vmware.com/t5/Workstation-2023-Tech-Preview/ct-p/ws-tp2023

Thanks, I'll try it now. Also, if it's supported in a future release, do I need to reinstall the whole system or just update vm tools? Appreciate your answer.

You need to uninstall the current version and then install the preview.

I am currently running the preview 2023 and dx 12 still not supported as of version 22060606

Though I believe adding a HW decoder is a priority than DX 12, at least VP9 if not AV1

First of all, thank you for your patience, I would like to inquire if I have to uninstall and reinstall every time I switch between preview and full version. Or do you have to reinstall only if the official version switches to the preview version, what about the preview version to the official version or the preview version to the next preview version? Thanks in advance!
