No ping between linux and windows 2016 server on VM Workstation PRO15

Hello,

I run on a laptop Dell Windows 10 PRO and have installed VMware Workstation PRO 15 where I have several vitual machines Linux REDHAT and WIndows 2016 server.

I need to establish communication between a Linux Redhat machine and the Windows VM.

The problem is that from the Windows Machine I can ping the Linux machine but not from linux to the Windows Machine.

From my laptop I can ping the linux but not the windows VM.

Hope you can help solving this situation and I thank you in advance.

Check if you have enabled firewall on Windows VM. By default, Windows firewall will block ping if network connection is marked as Public.
