VMWare Workstation Pro cannot map vmdk to local file system

I use VMWare Workstation Pro 17.0.2. There is no menu item or other way to map vmdk to local file system. Who can tell me how to operate VMWare Workstation Pro to map vmdk to local file system.

You cannot. This feature stopped working reliably in 16.2.x, and was removed in 17.0.x Last version which worked correctly was 16.1.2 (which is what I am stuck with using for work because of this).

If you just need to open a virtual disk and read files from it, 7-zip can open a vmdk to READ.

This feature is deprecated from WS 17.0 Release.
