Workstation crashes

As freelance software developer i used to work on a MacBook using VMware fusion with several MS Windows VMs.

Now I want to move to use the VMs on a remote windows server and work remotely.

For testing that I installed VMWare Workstation Pro 16.2 on one of my servers and copied the virtual disks and created new VMs.
It was running well last Monday / even that I had some keyboards trouble (I could just work by RDP).

But since Tuesday the VM doesn’t start and longer and the player gives an error message:

VMware Workstation unrecoverable error: (vcpu-0)
vcpu-0: VMM fault 13: sre=MONITOR
rip=Oxfffffffffc05e629regs=0xfffffffffc407f10
LBRstack=Oxffffffffe407bc0

Has anyone some hints what could be the reason?
