    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;From a VM you can connect to hosts running IPMI/ILO/iDRAC etc..&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Your VM itself does not provide IPMI/ILO/iDRAC.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Where IPMI is a server standard that is fairly common among server vendors, it is provided by a base band processor that handles things like power on. ILO/iDRAC are vendor specific versions that extend that functionality.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Virtual Machines do not have base band processors. I suppose that -in theory- one could provide this, it makes little sense to do so for VMware.&lt;BR /&gt;VMware has their own REST API that you can use to control a VM.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;--&lt;BR /&gt;Wil&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello Guys&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;For testing I create 2 VM with Oracle Linux 8.6 and need to know if is possible enable IPMI on the Virtual Machine or simulate for example XCC, ILO, iDRAC.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I need simulate Oracle Linux Virtualization environment and the host need IPMILAN for Power Management and enable High Availability&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks for your help&lt;/P&gt;</description>
