I'm using VMware Working station Pro 16 - 16.2.3 build-19376536

When using DOS box on Windows 98 Second Edition I've tried every solution to get the sound to work on Doom 1 but no matter what options I select under either music or sound options I don't get any music or sound, I get sound under PC Speaker but we all know how bad that sounds to play a videogame on.

I changed some stuff in the .vmx file to be able to use MIDI and Soundblaster more efficient but even then I still can't get any sound, here's the changed I made to the file:

sound.opl3.enabled = "TRUE"
sound.mpu401.host = "TRUE"

Is there any other tips or tricks someone could give me, I would appreciate it.
