bought pro 16 for personal use I need to run it on 2 different machines for about 3 months. Old vs new machine - can I do that for 3 months ?

From the product guide:

Non-Commercial Use. You may install and use the Software for non-Commercial Use on up to three (3) computers for each license that You have purchased.

Commercial Use. You may install and use the Software on a number of computers equal to the number of licenses purchased. Installing and running a single license of the Software on multiple computers is prohibited even if the computers are not running the Software concurrently. Concurrent use of the Software by multiple users on a single computer is prohibited.

So, if you're doing it for your own non-commercial reasons, you're fine.

If you're doing it as a part of your job, you can only run 1 installation at a time using a single license.
