USB Arbitration service could not be started (Error 1053)

Hi All,

I am currently running VM Workstation 15.5 Pro and I have noticed that my VM cannot detect my USB ports. Upon investigating I have noticed that my VMWare Arbitration Service were put into stopped mode, and when I try starting it it will return an error message:

Error1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.

I have tried repairing and reinstalling the Workstation. I have also noticed that my hcmon has already been started.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I had something similar with 16 – had to uninstall Workstation completely, reboot, and then reinstall.

Yup I have tried doing that a few times. Did a complete uninstall & reinstall and still have no luck
