    <description>&lt;P&gt;I do the following :&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;1.uninstall the vmware workstation.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2. search all the file and directory with "vmware" keyword and delete them.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;3. reboot&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;4. install vmware workstation.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;5.&amp;nbsp;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;modify config.ini&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;installerDefaults.autoSoftwareUpdateEnabled = "no "&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;installerDefaults.componentDownloadEnabled&amp;nbsp; = "no"&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I hope this can fixes this auto upgrade problem.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks all your helps.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <title>How to stop auto upgrade to vmware workstation pro 16</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I install the vmware workstation pro 15.5 on windows 10 64bit.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;last week, when I launch the software , It upgrade to 16.0 version. ( I do not have the license for version 16).&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;so I remove the software and install again.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I confirm that I uncheck the software check and upgrade in vmware.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;but next day. I open the software, it upgrade to version 16 again.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Can any one help me to disable the auto upgrade ?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Is the vmware tricks to force people to upgrade ?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
