    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hello everyone:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I'm installed workstation 12.5.8 64bit-linux version in the ubuntu 16.04.3 (kernel 4.13.0-17, linux-image-extra-virtual-hwe-16.04-edge), I also download patched vmnet driver source from someone's github:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;A href="https://github.com/mkubecek/vmware-host-modules" title="https://github.com/mkubecek/vmware-host-modules"&gt;GitHub - mkubecek/vmware-host-modules: Patches needed to build VMware (Player and Workstation) host modules against rece…&lt;/A&gt; &lt;A href="https://github.com/mkubecek/vmware-host-modules" title="https://github.com/mkubecek/vmware-host-modules"&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;vmnet exist (/dev/vmnet0 &amp;amp; 1 &amp;amp; &lt;img class="lia-deferred-image lia-image-emoji" src="https://communities.vmware.com/html/@482170C6F13186AA4746798ECA69B77C/emoticons/1f60e.png" alt=":smiling_face_with_sunglasses:" title=":smiling_face_with_sunglasses:" /&gt; and work fine if you does not change the IP.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;for example, vmnet1 setting in /etc/vmware is:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;answer VNET_1_DHCP yes&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;answer VNET_1_DHCP_CFG_HASH 85FDD2B5CC306A70C12C7CF66D6CE20712DF0D77&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;answer VNET_1_HOSTONLY_NETMASK 255.255.255.0&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;answer VNET_1_HOSTONLY_SUBNET 192.168.190.0&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;answer VNET_1_VIRTUAL_ADAPTER yes&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;When I change the IP using GUI VM network manager, it works, but not work at next boot, and can not restart the service "vmware".&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;When I changed to original IP (from installer assign), it work again.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Does had other way to restart VM network service to make vmnet work with changed IP?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;thanks.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;CPU: AMD ryzen 1700x, Board: ASUS B350plus. security-boot can not disable...&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;3rd number of IP must great than 128 or equal. ex:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;192.168.1.0 -&amp;gt; not work.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;192.168.128.0 -&amp;gt; work.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I don't know why.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
