Our clients backup software (Evault) is able to backup the virtual machines but apparently does not include the vapp object itself.

What will the process be for doing a full restore if needed? How would we recreate the vApp with its metadata? Is there a way to export the vApp info somewhere to enable us to rebuild it then restore the virtual machines back inside it?

We are aware of certain backup solutions out there not yet being able to handle vApp reconstruction. To workaround this limitation, we are working on a document on how to manually achieve such. We'll be following up here soon, now in the process of ratifying the doc.
