topic Status: Protocol Failure in Horizon Desktops and Apps

So this environment is running View 5.1 with a floating pool of Win 7 machines.

We have about 10 out of the 40 desktops showing "Status: Protocol Failure." I have tried to google and determine what this error pertains too, but I didn't find much. I did read something about the View agent mabye needing to be unistalled and re-installed, which is our next step. Any one else ever get this error?

Also, when I look at the events I see two different errors.

-There were no machines available that reported protocol [PCoIP] as ready.

-The Desktop Pool is empty

I understand the pool can't fulfill the amount of requests because of the 10 problem desktops excluded from the pool, but are these two errors pretty much one in the same? I would assume they are both saying pretty much the same thing.

I get these as well (Win7 64-bit View 5.0.1 agents, View 5.1 server). I've noticed if I just leave the desktops alone after a short amount of time they go to an avalible state.

I've seen this before where the problem was the Remote Desktop Service was not running. View needs Terminal Services/Remote Desktop Services enabled. Can you verify that the service is enabled on the Master Image and Group Policy and that it is running?
