With a clean install of Windows Server 2016 essentials into a Fusion 11.5.7 client my mouse works fine.

Once I install VMWare tools in the client and reboot, things go wrong.

cntl-alt-del via menu will start the login process and the mouse still works for switching user or repositioning the cursor in the login field until I actually log in.

Once I am logged in the mouse is dead.

Based on vaguely similar reports in other client OS's I've deleted and recreated the VMWare fusion entry Privacy>Accessibility and then rebooted.

But it hasn't helped.

Any ideas ? Thank you

Alex

I don't normally worry about gaming controls on a Windows Server, but for whatever reason it had defaulted to auto,

Switching to never resolved the problem.

Thank you.
