Can't check Server status - The operation is not supported on the object.

Hello guys,

when I check VMs on a Host for updates - VMware Tools & Hardware Compatibility - I often see an "unknown" status on some VMs.
I tested around a bit and noticed that this error occurs more often when the guest OS does not match the actual OS of the VM.

For example - Guest OS Version is Debian GNU/Linux 10 and installed is Debian 11.

However, this does not always help. As soon as I try to check the status, I get the following error: "The operation is not supported on the object."

Does anyone have a similar problem or an idea how I can prevent this.
I will be grateful for any advice. Thanks in advance

please write also what is your vCenter version.

It is on Version:7.0.3 - Build:20845200
