Question on Dell's Customized esxi 5 install image.

I have installed Dell's Customized ESXi 5 image. It is titled VMware-VMvisor-Installer-5.0.0-504890.x86_64-Dell_Customized_RecoveryCD_A03.iso

Even though it says Recovery I have been assured and I have used it to install 5 ESXi servers from scratch. I keep seeing ESXi update 1 and is this image Update 1 or do I need to apply that update?

My other question is why is it so hard to find these downloads such as Update etc.

I am confused on what I should be using.

thanks

VMware Update Manager is the most simple way to apply patches to your ESXi hosts.

I highly recommend.

I did use update manager and that was the only way to go. I found out there were 3 updates to my build that had to be applied in the correct order. I already had VCenter to auto download patches etc. I did the staging first so I could see what was going to be installed then remediate and all went well on 2 installs. A lot better than Windows Update server. lol
