Microsoft Cluster with physical RDM - Problem with 2nd node

Hi,

i'm trying to to create a RDM for a virtual Microsoft cluster. I have problems with adding the disk to the 2nd node, what i'm missing here?

I have a iSCSI LUN from a NetApp and this LUN is mapped and visible to all ESXi hosts, The first node looks like this:

Then i'm going to the 2nd node and trying to add an "existing" disk by browsing to the same mapping-file:

The first thing i'm wondering, why is he asking me for a "Location", i'm using a existing mapping file, so there is no need to ask for that.

But when i enter all informations and say OK i got this error message:

What have i missed here? Where is the problem? We have vSphere 7.0.3 in use...

Pherhaps a "Bug" in vCenter? After writing that i had the idea to made a try locally on the ESXi Host, not in the vCenter, to add this existing disk:

I can save it and then in the vCenter i can switch the "Sharing" to "Multi-writer" and save it with no problems:

Hi,

I think in second node you must select existing hard drive, not new one and point it to file vmdk (mapping file) of first node.

Yes...

And a few moth ago i made 2 clusters with no problems, i must take a closer look if we installed a vCenter update before or after this.

Because this i'm totally confused, normally i know how to do that.

O.k. the vCenter told me that he was updated the last time in may and i configured the last cluster in june. There we migrated from FC to iSCSI. I removed the FC mapping files from the VM and created new ones for the iSCSI devices with no problems...
