Rebooted and it came back. Disabled it and it seems OK. No more warnings and the partition is still working. I suspect some kind of mismatch with VMware tools. All OK after install, clean system log. Added a second hard drive. All OK. Installed VMtools and get the above as warning in the log. If I go into the registry, the event points to the added drive as a portable device, virtual disk. Seems to be working OK but haven't seen this before. Drivers look the same before and after. Tried deleting the registry key, but it comes back.</P><P>Probably OK, but I don't like it.
