hello,

I am having one cluster ( A ) with 3.5 ESX. which I want to migrate to my new cluster ( B) ESXi 4.1.

Is there any way to migrate the VMs without down time ?

Both clusters ESX/ESXi hosts are with different CPU but same vender. So i cant migrate without EVC mode.

to enable EVC mode I still need to power off all VMs on my old 3.5 cluster (A) ?

Is there any way i can migrate VMs without downtime.

Thanks in Advance

You'd best enable EVC on the old cluster, even if this means a whole shutdown. It should make your migration simpeler. If you don't mind me asking, why is the new cluster vSphere 4 and not 5?
