      <title>V to V error "unable to obtain hardware information for the selected machine"</title>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hello All&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;so I am trying to do a V to V migration of a RHEL 5 VM from a ESX4.0 to 6.5 server.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have done this about 12 times so far and even migrated the (A) version of this VM previously without any issues. &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;just to be clear we have redundant VM's there is an A server and a B server I successfully migrated the A server a few weeks ago that was running on a different ESX server.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;These are the errors i'm getting;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;"unable to obtain hardware information for the selected machine"&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;and when I clicked on the (view source details) at the bottom right corner of the converter tool it displayed:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;"A general system error occurred: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it"\&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I'm running version 6.1.1 of the conversion tool&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;and I was able to V to V another VM from that same ESX server earlier.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Paul.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hello Ranchuab&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;so I tried to verify if the workload manager was running but I don't see that exact name in the services??&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I can tell you there are a handfull of services not running and non of those look to be workload manager.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have also attached the log file.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hello Ranchuab,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So I noticed something today that I didn't notice before.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I edited the settings of the VM that is giving me the trouble moving and wanted to see the size of the disk&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;when I opened up the settings it showed a size of 0 "zero"&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I think this may be the problem with the vm not being able to be migrated "V to V"&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;How can I go about correcting that??&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
