topic VMware Workstation Pro Doesnt Show Machine Preview After is Setup to Start Automatically in Technical Community Resources and Help Discussions

Hello all!

I have a server running an VMware Workstation Pro 17 and some auto-start vms setup, after i boot my server i cant see the machines preview, they're running but showing as powered off, even if i try to start them (they're already running, i know) i get an error that says "Failed to get exclusive lock on the configuration file. Another vmware proccess might be running using this configuration file.".

The problem is that sometimes i want to deal with the VMs inside the workstation dashboard, not via a remote connection or something like that, and in this case i cant because the dashboard doesnt show me the virtual machine screen.

I already tried to restart the server and it doesnt work, it only works when i remove the auto-start configuration for those vms and restart the server, then i can start them manually via the workstation dashboard.

Thanks in advance.
