Hello,

I am pretty new to vRealize Operations Manager. We are currently running 6.0.1 of this product and I primarily use it to make capacity projections and keep an eye on our hosts and guests. Recently we had a power outage. Since the outage I have been unable to use any of the graphs for any of my already created projects in the projects tab. When I attempt to use one of my projects I receive the error: "Unable to identify a trend in historical analysis". How often is historical data collected? Is this something I can control and/or manipulate and speed up? Essentially, I want to know how long before I can use the projects I previously created to make projections again.

Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated!

The collection state and status for all objects is green and shows: collecting and data receiving, respectively. Looks like data is collected approximately every 5 minutes or so.

As far as I can tell. I went to Object Relationships --> drilled down to each machine in the cluster and I can see that data is being collected for each of the virtual machines.

It's collecting, but I want to make sure it is retaining the data, so I'm curious to know if you look at an individual object, let's say a VM, if current information is being analyzed properly. Just pick a VM and look at some CPU and memory data and make sure it is showing up. There could be database corruption from the hard reset.
